Key Ingredients:

Macadamia nut oil is a light weight oil that is well absorbed without feeling greasy. It’s high in monounsaturated fatty acids, including Oleic Acid (Omega 9), which are very moisturizing, regenerating and softening on the skin. These fatty acids also have anti-inflammatory properties. Linoleic Acid (Omega 6) helps to restore the skin’s barrier function and reduce water loss. It also contains Palmitoleic Acid (Omega 7), an active anti-microbial that is found naturally in youthful skin. Palmitoleic Acid (Omega 7) levels in our skin reduce with age, contributing to the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and weathered skin.

Macadamia nut oil has been shown to slow the signs of ageing and has also been used to improve the appearance of scars, sunburn and other minor skin irritations.

Baobab oil is an excellent skin moisturizer, which absorbs quickly into the skin without clogging pores. It leaves the skin feeling soft and moisturized. Baobab oil contains Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids which contribute towards maintaining a healthy skin.

Hemp Seed Oil, Cannabis sativa, is not, as so many people assume, the same plant as marijuana. It is a non-narcotic variety. Hempseed oil, expeller pressed from a tiny nut, contains about 20 to 35 percent protein. One of the world’s richest sources of polyunsaturated fats, it contains more naturally occurring essential fatty acids (EFA) than any other plant-derived oil. Rich in vitamin E, hemp seed oil is a great oil for all skin types, balances skin oil production, provides long lasting moisture, does not clog pores, soothes irritated skin and may help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Folks with sensitive skin will love how gentle it is.

Hibiscus seed oil is high in linoleic and oleic fatty acids, and contain a form of vitamin E, a fat soluble antioxidant. Vitamin E has many benefits. It is considered important for cell protection, and for the healthy maintenance of our immune system and skin. It is said to be both anti-inflammatory and analgesic.

Neem oil has been used in traditional folk medicine and as a home remedy for acne because of the aspirin-like compound that helps rid the skin of bacteria. It also helps reduce redness and inflammation. The high fatty-acid content in neem oil is said to prevent and treat scars from acne and is non-comedogenic.

Carrot Oil. Carrots are rich in nutrients such as vitamins A, C, and E, beta-carotene, and a multitude of other antioxidants. Vitamins A and E — in addition to beta-carotene — have wonderful conditioning properties. They moisturizer the skin or scalp on the body, thereby building healthier hair and skin.

Cucumber oil contains about 14 to 20% of oleic acid, stearic acid, palmitic acid and 60 to 68% of omega-3-linoleic acid. It also contains potassium, silicon, cucurbitacins, sulphur and certain fatty acids like 9, 12, 15-Octadecatrienoic acid and 9, 12-Octadecadienoic acid.

Cucumber oil has antioxidant, diuretic, anti-rheumatic, anti-ulcer, relaxing, antidote, rejuvenating, anti-stress, anti-inflammatory, anti-cancerous, tonic, anti-dandruff, and laxative properties. It is rich in Vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, and C along with magnesium, calcium, phosphorous, zinc, iron and folic acid.

Cucumber oil has stupendous revitalizing and nourishing properties that help in treating dull, damaged or mature skin conditions. The presence of linoleic acid and oleic acid in cucumber makes it an excellent aid for skin problems including acne, blackheads, sunburns, psoriasis, eczema and certain other inflammatory skin conditions.

Honey is nature’s ultimate beauty product. Throughout the centuries, beautiful woman have used honey as part of their skin and hair care treatments. The acids in honey have been known to help one’s skin look youthful. Numerous studies have proven its effectiveness in fighting infection, promoting new skin growth and even lessening scarring.

Honey derives its antibacterial effects from natural hydrogen peroxide, produced by an enzyme naturally present in honey. Honey never spoils due to a very high potassium content, which makes it difficult for bacteria to survive. Honey hydrates, moisturizes, soothes, softens and gives soap a lovely tan color and a sweet scent, Honey, one of the best-known humectants, traps and seals in moisture leaving skin soft and supple.

Cinnamon, Cinnamomum zeylanicum, oil with its warm, spicy, sweet, scent, has been used for centuries. It was the most sought after spice of the 15th and 16th centuries–at one time it was more valuable than gold. It is great for circulation and sore muscles. A powerful antiseptic, cinnamon oil is great for oily complexions.

Sweet Orange, like other citrus oils has anti-bacterial and astringent properties. Great skin tonics, citrus oils, stimulate the microcirculation, balance skin oil production, and support tissue regeneration. They are wonderful for dull skin.
