Sweet Almond Oil, Prunus dulcis, cold pressed from the dried kernels of the almond tree, it has moisturizing, nourishing properties and is easily absorbed, leaving the skin soft and smooth without a greasy feel. Macadamia nut oil is a light weight oil that is well absorbed without feeling greasy. It’s high in monounsaturated fatty acids, including Oleic Acid (Omega 9), which are very moisturizing, regenerating and softening on the skin. These fatty acids also have anti-inflammatory properties. Linoleic Acid (Omega 6) helps to restore the skin’s barrier function and reduce water loss. It also contains Palmitoleic Acid (Omega 7), an active anti-microbial that is found naturally in youthful skin. Palmitoleic Acid (Omega 7) levels in our skin reduce with age, contributing to the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and weathered skin.
Macadamia nut oil has been shown to slow the signs of ageing and has also been used to improve the appearance of scars, sunburn and other minor skin irritations.
Hibiscus seed oil is high in linoleic and oleic fatty acids, and contain a form of vitamin E, a fat soluble antioxidant. Vitamin E has many benefits. It is considered important for cell protection, and for the healthy maintenance of our immune system and skin. It is said to be both anti-inflammatory and analgesic.
Neem oil has been used in traditional folk medicine and as a home remedy for acne because of the aspirin-like compound that helps rid the skin of bacteria. It also helps reduce redness and inflammation. The high fatty-acid content in neem oil is said to prevent and treat scars from acne and is non-comedogenic.
Baobab oil is an excellent skin moisturizer, which absorbs quickly into the skin without clogging pores. It leaves the skin feeling soft and moisturized. Baobab oil contains Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids which contribute towards maintaining a healthy skin.
Melon Seed Oil is a light, non-greasy, non-pore blocking carrier oil often used in cosmetics and hair care products. Ideal for mature, dry, oily and acne prone skin and for baby skincare.
Avocado Oil, Persea gratissima, expeller pressed from the pulp of the avocado fruit, is rich in vitamins A, D and E. Avocado oil is very penetrating and imparts valuable nutrients to the skin because it is a penetrating oil rich in vitamins A, B1, B2 panthothenic acid, E and lecithin and fatty acids. Feilds of blossoms are calling to you….
Jojoba Oil, Buxus sinensis, expeller pressed from the jojoba bean, has been used for skin and hair care for hundreds of years. Jojoba (pronounced “ho-ho-ba) oil is not an oil but liquid wax. The structure so closely resembles that of your own skin sebum, it is considered nature’s most effective natural moisturizer. It penetrates the skin easily, has anti-inflammatory actions and can be used on acne without any problems. It is great for mature, aging skin and exceptional mildness for sensitive skin.
