Key Ingredients:

(Sweet) Almond Oil, Prunus dulcis, cold pressed from the dried kernels of the almond tree, it has moisturizing, nourishing properties and is easily absorbed, leaving the skin soft and smooth without a greasy feel. It is rich in essential fatty acids, vitamins A, B1, B2, B6, and E and is said to relieve dry, itchy skin.

Macadamia nut oil is a light weight oil that is well absorbed without feeling greasy. It’s high in monounsaturated fatty acids, including Oleic Acid (Omega 9), which are very moisturizing, regenerating and softening on the skin. These fatty acids also have anti-inflammatory properties. Linoleic Acid (Omega 6) helps to restore the skin’s barrier function and reduce water loss. It also contains Palmitoleic Acid (Omega 7), an active anti-microbial that is found naturally in youthful skin. Palmitoleic Acid (Omega 7) levels in our skin reduce with age, contributing to the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and weathered skin.

Macadamia nut oil has been shown to slow the signs of ageing and has also been used to improve the appearance of scars, sunburn and other minor skin irritations.

Hemp Seed Oil, Cannabis sativa, is not, as so many people assume, the same plant as marijuana. It is a non-narcotic variety. Hempseed oil, expeller pressed from a tiny nut, contains about 20 to 35 percent protein. One of the world’s richest sources of polyunsaturated fats, it contains more naturally occurring essential fatty acids (EFA) than any other plant-derived oil. Rich in vitamin E, hemp seed oil is a great oil for all skin types, balances skin oil production, provides long lasting moisture, does not clog pores, soothes irritated skin and may help reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Folks with sensitive skin will love how gentle it is.

Baobab oil is an excellent skin moisturizer, which absorbs quickly into the skin without clogging pores. It leaves the skin feeling soft and moisturized. Baobab oil contains Omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids which contribute towards maintaining a healthy skin.

Hibiscus seed oil is high in linoleic and oleic fatty acids, and contain a form of vitamin E, a fat soluble antioxidant. Vitamin E has many benefits. It is considered important for cell protection, and for the healthy maintenance of our immune system and skin. It is said to be both anti-inflammatory and analgesic.

Melon Seed Oil is a light, non-greasy, non-pore blocking carrier oil often used in cosmetics and hair care products. Ideal for mature, dry, oily and acne prone skin and for baby skincare.

Peppermint, Mentha piperata, is minty, strong and fresh oil with cooling, refreshing and deodorant properties. Peppermint’s cooling power comes from the high percentage of menthol in its leaves. Menthol has antibacterial properties and is used externally in liniments to stimulate nerve endings and increase local blood flow. It is a good treatment eczema, dermatitis, inflammation, muscle aches and dandruff

Tea Tree, Melaleuca alternifolia, a natural antiseptic, germicide, antibacterial, fungicide and deodorant, refreshes, stimulates and deep cleans the skin and scalp. Australian Aborigines discovered that the oil from the leaves of the tea tree provided a natural cure for a wide variety of ailments and it is often referred to by Australians as a “first aid kit in a bottle.” The oil is extracted from the tree leaves by distillation. A valuable medicinal oil, tea tree helps heal infections and skin disorders and fights acne without causing dryness or other side effects of modern day acne treatments. The scent is medicinal and penetrating, but many describe it as clean and refreshing.

Next to thyme, it is the most antiseptic of all oils. It is safer to use, and unlike thyme, can be used “neat” or undiluted. Its antiseptic and healing properties make it a wonderful natural treatment for rosacea caused by dermodex mites.

Menthol Crystals, Mentha arvensis, are the solid portion of the natural oil of mint. As the mint essential oil is subjected to very low temperatures, the menthol crystallizes out. Menthol crystals stimulate cold receptors in the skin and are excellent for use in products made to provide cooling and soothing relief for muscular aches and pains. Their strong minty aroma also helps with upper respiratory and nasal congestion. Our menthol crystals are a 100% natural organic product that originate from mint essential oil extraction–nothing synthetic!
